Rose M. Anthrop, 72
WEST POINT - Rose Marie Davis-Huggler Anthrop, 72, of West Point, died at 9:47 a.m. Sunday, April 15, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Lafayette.
She was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Ohio, to the late Lawrence Davis and Hazel Cook. She was a graduate of Wea High School.
Her marriage was to Edwin E. Anthrop Sr. on November 12, 1949, in Lafayette. He survives.
Mrs. Anthrop was a homemaker who had worked as a furniture refinisher and at the West Point store.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening, horse racing, computers and playing poker and euchre.
Surviving with her husband are two sons, Edwin E. "Butch" Anthrop Jr. (wife Mona) of Brookston and George Anthrop (companion Susan Spieldenner) of Marshall, Michigan; two daughters, Carolyn Anthrop of Lafayette and Jayne Clinton (husband Greg) of Berea, KY; two brothers, Jerry Huggler of Independence and Fred Huggler of Apple Valley, California; and a sister, Betty McCloud (husband Ed) of Orient, Ohio.
Mrs. Anthrop's greatest joy came from her 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded by a sister and her stepfather, Shorty Huggler
Visitation 5-8 p.m. today (April 17th) at Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St, with Rosary at 4:45 p.m. Funeral Mass 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann Catholic Church, Rev.
