Votes Sunday as the House, on a 54-44 vote, approved a measure to allow up to 2,000 slot machines at each of Indiana's two horse racing tracks. Voting yes were 13 Republicans and 41 Democrats. Voting no were 35 Republicans and 9 Democrats. Ronald Herrell, D-Kokomo, was excused from voting. Phillip Hinkle, R-Indianapolis, did not vote.
