Today the Senate Tax & Fiscal Policy committee approved an extremely amended version of HB 1835 by a 9-3 vote.  We have a long way to go.  The good news is: we have a bill working.  The bad news is: that bill doesn't work (among other problems, see the new $400 million license fee for each track.)  This is the Indy Star's afternoon story on the hearing.  Hats off to those who have scrambled to contact senators.  Don't stop!

In conjunction with the ongoing legislative process, the Anderson Herald Bulletin is profiling the hope of additional economic development at Hoosier Park.
