Twenty eight offered under consignment

Some of the highest priced yearlings in the past decade have carried the Bluebird name with them through the sales rings. This year, Blue Bird Meadows hopes to keep that momentum going with 28 consigned to the Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale, set for Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Yearlings are in the process of being moved to the facility with all yearling available for pre-sale inspections on Hall D from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 14 during Preview Day.

Bluebird Meadows has ample representation from trotters and pacers as well as established stallion lines along with first crop sires. One yearling that will be making a lot of trips out in the aisleway for inspection is Hip No. 253, selling on the second day. Bluebird Renewal is the latest foal from the mare Little Revenue, who has produced standout trotters such as Bluebird Reverend (1:53.0, $600,000) and Bluebird Deacon (1:53.1, $347,000). Bluebird Renewal is a son of Temporal Hanover, representing the new blood lines in Indiana. The colt is heavily staked both inside the Indiana border as well as outside, including the Breeders Crown, Hambletonian, and KY Futurity.

Selling just two yearlings later is Bluebird You Bet, a son of first crop sire Loubet. The colt is the latest foal from the Village Jolt mare Love You Always, a winner in 1:50 and proven brood mare. She has produced racehorses such as Peter Dalt (1:51.1, $241,000) and PBR Street Gang (1:51.3, $168,000). Bluebird You Bet is one of seven being sold by Bluebird Meadows out of first crop sire Loubet.

Bluebird Meadows is also selling 12 of their 28 yearlings as agent, including Rapid Relief, a son of Helpisontheway. The colt is selling on the first day of the sale as the latest foal of Bridge to Nowhere, who has produced the superstar Indiana trotter Bridge to Jesses, who has a mark of 1:51.1 and more than $1.2 million. The family also includes Bridge to Success (1:53.4, $251,000), Bridge Works (1:55.1, $248,000), and Bridge to Victory (1:54.2, $193,000). In all, the mare has had 10 foals, six of which are winners.

Another yearling selling on Day One is a colt with a catchy name, Tucker Winmore. The JK Endofanera colt is the latest foal from Cinnamon Girl, who has produced five winners in six foals. Two of those foals are sub 1:50 performers, including Play Action Pass (1:49.1, $322,000) and David Allan Whoa (1:49.2, $219,000). The third dam has also produced major horsepower in Glowing Report (1:49.2, $2 million), Perfect Union (1:49.0, $723,000), and Urgent Action (1:49.3, $699,000). The page for Tucker Winmore is loaded with speed from top to bottom.
