Protecting Indiana Horsemen

The Indiana Standardbred Association offers sulky insurance coverage as a benefit to eligible paid 2026 ISA members.

Coverage applies at Indiana pari-mutuel tracks and Indiana fair tracks when all program membership requirements have been met prior to the incident.

What The Program Covers

ISA provides financial protection for eligible damaged sulkies and jog carts subject to the current program requirements.

Incident Coverage

Up To $3,000

ISA offers a maximum of $3,000 per qualifying incident.

Wheel Coverage

Up To $500

Wheel coverage is limited to $500 per wheel, per incident.

Indiana Racing

Coverage applies at Indiana pari-mutuel tracks and Indiana fair tracks.

Important Eligibility Rules

Everyone Must Be A Paid ISA Member

Membership must already be paid before the incident occurs. The program applies only when all required individuals connected to the damaged sulky or jog cart meet the membership requirement.

Owner Of The Damaged Sulky Must be a paid 2026 ISA member before the accident.

Driver Must be a paid 2026 ISA member prior to the incident.

Trainer Must be a paid 2026 ISA member prior to the incident.

Horse Owners / Lessees All owners or lessees of the horse must be paid members.
✓
Stable Ownership Membership requirements also apply when the horse is owned by a stable.

Corporation / Multiple Owners All applicable owners or members must meet the paid 2026 ISA membership requirement.

Membership Must Be Active Before The Incident Joining the ISA after an accident occurs does not satisfy the current sulky insurance eligibility requirement. All required parties must already be paid 2026 ISA members before the incident causing the damage.
