Partnership offering eight yearlings in upcoming sale

The second annual Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale is now 10 days out and final preparations are going into several hundred yearlings. The sale is set for Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16. One of the consignments that will be well represented is R-N-D Standardbreds, consisting of Richard Frey, Norman Miller, and Danny Frey. Eight yearlings will make up the consignment for R-N-D Standardbreds.

 

Of the eight, only three are pacing prospects, including the first one for the consignment Naïve Norine, selling as Hip No. 27. The Why Not Now filly is only one of four from the new Indiana stallion selling in the sale. She is from the mare Active Lady, who has a mark of 1:53.1 and has already produced four winners, including Samson Blue Chip, a winner in 1:50.4 with more than $176,000 on his card. Active Lady is also a sister to two uber tough racehorses, Ideal Cowboy, a winner in 1:49.1 with more than $858,000 on his card and Oakwood Ardan IR, a winner in 1:47.3 and more than $462,000.

 

On the trotting side, R-N-D Standardbreds offers a first foal from a Tactical Landing mare Covert Mission named Tactical Queen. The Swan for All filly sells as Hip No. 127. The second dam has produced several racehorses including Covert Operative (1:53.4, $317,000) and Fingals Wave (1:54.1, $300,000). Reading on down the page, the maternal line also including Sim Brown, who was a tough racehorse on the Ontario circuit who made more than $685,000 with a mark of 1:53.0.

 

All yearlings from R-N-D Standardbreds can be seen before they are shipped to the Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale by contacting one of the partners in the consignment.
