Premier Acres offers 16 trotting and pacing prospects

Premier Acres has built up themselves as one of the top breeding operations in the state in recent years. This year’s crop of yearlings will feature both trotting and pacing prospects with some established bloodlines as well as some new connections for Indiana.

One of the established bloodlines in the state can be found in Hip No. 236 Premier Love Story. The Rockin Image filly is the latest foal from the mare Kaitlyn Akeeper, who has already produced two winners, including Premier Romeo, an Indiana Sires Stakes contender and winner in 1:50.2 with more than $244,000 in earnings. The maternal bloodline is stacked with black type winners under all three dams listed in the Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale, showing the depth of talent for the filly.

Joining Premier Love Story is Hip No. 79 KBs Showtime, a filly by Best in Show. She is a first foal from the mare Bluebird Venus, who took a mark of 1:52.3 during her career. She is a full sister to the standout mare Rockin Serena, who retired with a mark of 1:51.0 and more than $411,000 in earnings after winning everything from Indiana Sires Stakes to open stakes and the top races for mares in Open Paces at both Harrah’s Hoosier Park and Pompano Park. Rockin Serena has already produced winners, and Bluebird Venus hopes to start that trent with KBs Showtime.

On the trotting side, Premier Acres is representing Bontrager Stables with Justlikeivory, a daughter of Temporal Hanover. She is the first foal from an Angus Hall mare who traces back to third dam Image Control, Canadian racehorse with more than $240,000 in earnings. She is also the dam of Pure Ivory, a millionaire winner and O’Brien Two-Year-old Trotting Filly of 2025 and Breeders Crown top three finisher. Justlikeivory sells as Hip No. 134.

Located in Middlebury, Premier Acres is available for pre-sale inspections of their yearlings. To arrange a time to visit, call the farm at (260) 585-4927. Once they have arrived at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, yearlings may be found for pre-sale inspections in Hall D during the preview day Wednesday, October 14. Premier Acres has 16 yearlings in their consignment and will serve as agent on half of the yearlings available for the Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 racing program.
