Prestigious Prince and Brandon Givens used a royal finish to score the win Tuesday, May 12 in the $6,000 conditioned pace at Harrington Raceway. The Indiana pacer rallied past his rivals for the win in 1:54.2.
Prestigious Prince began from post one and floated out with the others seeking the lead. Fellow Indiana sired Ultimaroca and Anthony Morgan grabbed the top spot followed by The Rocketeer and Montrell Teague. Prestigious Prince got away in third through the quarter in :27.4. The top three pulled away from the remainder of the field as the tempo remained swift to the half in :55.2. Then, the top two pulled away from Prestigious Prince heading around the third turn before Prestigious Prince began to close the gap.
Heading down the backstretch for the second time, Prestigious Prince tipped off the back of The Rocketeer and had Ultimaroca in his sights. He was gaining ground slowly with every stride around the final turn and got a short advantage before reaching the top of the stretch. Once he was straightened out, he rallied out to a four and one-quarter length advantage to win in 1:54.2. Won Last Call and George Dennis closed on the inside for second over Ultimaroca.
Prestigious Prince paid $4.60 for the win. It was the second win of the program for Givens, who drove for trainer William Bright. The five-year-old son of Always a Virgin is owned by Bright and Dawn Webb. Doyle Miller, Eric Miller, and Kevin Miller bred the gelding, who earned his second win of 2026 and his sixth overall. To date, he has more than $139,000 in earnings with his career best time of 1:53.1 taken as a two-year-old at Harrah’s Hoosier Park when he was under the direction of Susan Miller. The one-time Indiana Sires Stakes contender left Indiana at the conclusion of his three-year-old season and headed to Delaware.
Also a winner on the card at Harrington was Indiana sired Premier on Stage, driven by Troy Beyer. The seven-year-old son of Odds on Equuleus went straight to the lead, winning comfortably by one and one-half lengths in 1:55.4. Racketeering and Brandon Givens finished second over Rock Lights and Shane Griffith.
Premier on Stage paid $6.20 for the win. The gelding was bred by Dennis Bontrager and is now owned by Steven Marsh Jr. Peter Marsh trains the older pacer, who earned his first win of 2026. Overall, he has 13 wins from 109 starts. His career best time of 1:51.2 was taken as a three-year-old at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. He began his career under the direction of Trainer Tabatha DeLong.
