Tellmeaboutit closing in on one million

Tellmeaboutit earned his first win of 2026 Friday, March 13 at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. The now 10-year-old standout Indiana pacer rallied home in 1:54.0 for the win with Trace Tetrick at the controls in the $7,000 conditioned pace.

Tellmeaboutit began from post three and showed the most speed, reaching the top spot before the first turn arrived. ER Rookie also left the gate seeking a spot near the top, but when there were no holes, he moved onto the lead, taking over after the quarter in :26.4. Joker Rockwell and John DeLong were on the move on the outside from the back of the pack when ER Rookie went by the half in :56.4. Tellmeaboutit was right on his heels heading into the final turn as Joker Rockwell continued to move up on the outside.

When the field hit the stretch, ER Rookie was holding strong on the inside. Tellmeaboutit moved to the inside and began to inch up on the leader. Joker Rockwell held his ground on the outside. As the wire neared, Tellmeaboutit separated himself from the field to score the win in 1:54.0. ER Rookie was second followed by Joker Rockwell.

Tellmeaboutit paid $3.40 as the favorite of the field. The son of Tellitlikeitis is owned by Twila Harts and Alvin Miller. He has been part of the Miller barn since his first season of racing as a two-year-old. To date, he has 38 career wins and is closing in on $1 million in earnings, now less than $10,000 away from hitting that mark. His career best time of 1:47.4 was taken at the age of six at Harrah’s Hoosier Park. He has paced under the 1:50 time barrier six of his eight years on the track. He was purchased by Harts and Miller for $25,000 out of the Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale from the In Law Stables consignment.

Earlier in the night, Late Nite Hawk and Jordan Ross turned in a near gate to wire effort, taking over the top spot after the quarter in the conditioned pace. After grabbing modest middle quarters, he turned up the tempo in the stretch and rallied home to a four and one-quarter length win in 1:56.2, a final quarter in :28.3. Latin Lover and Marcus Miller finished second over Dashing Danny and Atlee Bender.

Late Nite Hawk paid $3.80 for the win. The seven-year-old son of Dover Dan is owned by Brett Wilfong and Goose Island Stable. Wilfong trains the veteran trotter, who was bred by Merle Yoder. It was his first win of 2026 and his 21st overall. His earnings are now over the $300,000 mark with his career best time of 1:51.1 taken as a four-year-old at Harrah’s Hoosier Park.
