Trotting filly half sister to standout Dan D Man Can

There is one yearling that stands out in the upcoming Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale and its an easy Hip number to remember. Caramelite, selling as Hip No. 100 during the first day of the sale, is being showcased from the Homestead Acres consignment. The entire consignment only consists of four yearlings with only one representing the trotting side of the business, and that is Caramelite.

Caramelite is a daughter of You Know You Do and the half sister to Indiana Sires Stakes standout Dan D Man Can, a winner in 1:52.4 with more than $340,000 in earnings. She is out of the Donato Hanover mare Caramela Hanover, a winner in 1:57.4 and both of her previous foals have raced. She is well bred, one of six winners from her dam, including Comeonover Hanover, a winner in 1:54.3 with $339,000 in earnings. The immediate family also includes Cloud Nine Hanover (1:54.2, $297,000) and Wheelsandthelegman (1:53.4, $188,000).

The third dam of Caramelite is the Grand Circuit winner Noifsaboutit, who has produced Boom (1:52.1, $252,000) and Pardon Me (1:54.3, $234,000) to name a few. The third dam is also the mother of Say What, the dam of three-year-old trotting filly standout in Indiana For Dayze, who has a mark of 1:53.1 and more than $300,000 and counting.

Caramelite is heavily staked outside of the Hoosier State, including the Hambletonian, Kentucky Futurity, Yonkers Trot, and Breeders Crown. She can be found in Aisle 17 with the Homestead Acres consignment.

Caramelite is the same cross as Gruesome Twosome, Sure Did, Sure Do and Major Velocity, all standout performers in the state.

Joining Caramelite are three pacing colts, Satisfy You (Hip No. 82), Rockarena (Hip No. 241) and Sweet Rocknroll (Hip No. 402).  All three have strong maternal sides.

Caramelite is featured in a full page ad in the October issue of the Indiana Standardbred magazine. For more information on her or any of the yearlings for Homestead Acres, contact Herman Miller at (260) 593-0608, ext. 1. The farm is located in Topeka, Ind.
