Nearly 100 Indiana foals registered
Foaling Season underway

Nearly 100 foals have been registered thus far during the 2026 foaling season in Indiana. The Indiana Standardbred Breed Development has 97 names on their register as of St. Patrick’s Day Tuesday, March 17, all of which are Indiana sired and bred.
A foal that pops out on the first page of the listing for foals registered so far includes a Rockin Image colt from the mare Bikini Star. The colt was born January 27 and is the latest in a line of standouts from Bikini Star. She is a 100 percent producer from eight foals of racing age, and sends out a two-year-old colt named Tells Shootingstar, who is a two-year-old in 2026. Tells Shootingstar sold from the Victory Hill Farm consignment last fall in the inaugural Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale to Jack Freeman for $40,000. The Tellitlikeitis colt seeks to join older siblings Rock’s Shining Star (1:48.2, $335,000), JK’s Shining Star (1:50.4, $349,000) and Rock Shines Again (1:48.4, $329,000), last year’s undefeated Sires Stakes champion.
On the trotting side, Foxy Swan has a new foal on the ground. The filly, born January 30, is by Rebuff. Foxy Swan, a former champion in Indiana, has already produced Tarzan (1:53.2, $207,000) and Meadowbrook Mark (1:54.3, $117,000). The filly born this year is her first foal since 2023.
Ponda Help, the half sister to Ponda Title (1:55, $483,000), had her first foal January 28. She had a filly by Muscle Massive hoping to pass on her strong maternal line to her foals in the brood mare ranks.
