Indiana has several farms that are recognizable by the names they carry to represent where they came from. Meadowbrook Farm is one of those operations. Nine yearlings are set for the Midwest Standardbred Horse Sale carrying the farm name with five additional yearlings joining the lineup represented by Meadowbrook Farm as agent. The yearlings will be ready and waiting on Aisle 8 at the West Pavilion of the Indiana State Fairgrounds.
One of the yearlings that will be spending a lot of time in the Aisle is Hip No. 222 Meadowbrook Megan. The Temporal Hanover filly is from one of the farm’s top brood mares, J A’s Ayd, who started out with former Indiana Sires Stakes Champion TJ’s Top Pick and extending to sophomore Indiana Sires Stakes winner OMG Am I Ok. Meadowbrook Megan is the latest foal of J As Ayd, who earned more than $100,000 on her card before becoming a brood mare. She has produced six winners from eight foals, including Meadowbrook Nola (1:55.2, $70,000) and Meadowbrook Dio (1:57.4, $66,000) in addition to the Sires Stakes winners. The second dam is equally impressive with multiple six-figure winners listed on the catalog page.
Joining Meadowbrook Megan to represent the pacing side of Meadowbrook Farm is Hip No. 319 Meadowbrook Gunner, a son of JK Endofanera. The colt is the second foal of the Bettors Delight mare Persistent Bettor, a winner in 1:51.3. Her first foal, a filly named Bettor Bet JK has been timed in 1:56.0 and is currently racing. The maternal family roots run deep for Meadowbrook Gunner as the second dam has produced several six figure earners, including Seeyou At Thebeach, a winner in 1:49.4 with nearly $500,000 in earnings. The family also traces back to Leading X Ample, a millionaire with a mark of 1:48.2. Meadowbrook Gunner is heavily staked, including the Breeders Crown, Cane Pace, and Little Brown Jug in addition to the lucrative Indiana program.
In the agent section for Meadowbrook Farm, they are offering the dual eligible pacing colt KP Flash, a son of Tellitlikeitis. The colt is the latest foal from Pats Paradise, a winner in 1:54.4 who has already produced the tough racehorse Folsom Prison, a winner in 1:50.4 with more than $250,000 on his card. The second dam includes former East Coast contender OK Braveheart, who has a mark of 1:50.3 with more than $615,000 on his card. KP Flash is eligible to both the Indiana and Kentucky stakes programs.
